1. Respect people. Consent is very important in this type of sim. All the usuals apply too. Don’t be OOC racist, sexist, classist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. Please be VERY careful when playing characters that exhibit these prejudices. Niev has in the past put a trigger warning in her titler to alert people to the fact that her character is unpleasant. This, or a pick in your profile reinforcing the IC / OOC boundaries, is often a good way to alert people who might be offended by RPing with your character.  

 

2. Since this is a freeform sim, we expect people to never write overpowered characters. DnD has provided the races and classes and hope people follow guidelines given within the descriptions of those types. In the end, we hope that this “rule” will effectively govern itself. If you are a mega-god character, people just won’t want to RP with you, cause its boring.

 

3. This is a RP sim so common-sense rules are in order. No power gaming metagaming or god-modding. We are not going to make you write a definition of those things in an application. RP has been around long enough that you know what they mean. If you have lived under a rock and don’t know, we will teach you, once. Then you will know. People are here to roleplay and have fun. If drama happens, we will have to do the boring admin things and we hate doing boring admin things.

 

4. Evidently no child avatars, this is an 18+ sim. This is not negotiable. No baby avatars. No prim babies.

We will allow people to RP pregnancies; however all babies are sent to Nexus child care and education facilities immediately after birth. They are educated in special schools until they graduate at 18. Obviously, you oversee your pregnancy however we have included conception rates (as might be applied to the ALLPA system) in the descriptions for each race. Just be a little reasonable with consideration of the lore: an elf getting knocked up every time she has sex just doesn’t make sense.

 

5. Factions and groups. We understand that people like forming groups of their own to progress their narrative and create a common goal. What we don’t want is people creating a Dwarf Faction, or an Elf Faction that tries to speak for the whole race. Please remember that we are all shy nerds who want to belong and so be gentle where you can be. That being said, the owners of the sim have no intention of arbitrating disagreements within player groups. If you have an issue within your group, or with another group, talk it out between yourselves. Remember, IC drama makes for good RP. OOC drama is shit. Don’t be shit.
