Goblinoids

This is a broad category of races that are not included in the Player's Handbook Standard Edition. You are however welcome to play a Goblinoid, and in fact there are a number  of Orc NPCs that are critical to some of the stories being told. If you have a DnD and Beyond account and have access to The Monster Manual you will find the details needed to create your Goblinoid character, but this is only necessary if you intend to  roll as this character in a DnD game. The only thing necessary for good RP is good writing.

The only thing we ask is that you make sure that your character is the same power level as the rest of the characters on the sim. This is why we shy away from characters types like dragons as they are too powerful. Also, the lore of the world has been created with the species listed here. If you want to play another DnD race that's fine, but the lore won't exist for that creature.

Orcs

Orcs are brutish raiders with prominent lower canines that resemble tusks. They particular dislike and distrust elves. When an existing area is depleted of resources, an orc tribe divides into raiding groups that scout for choice hunting grounds. When each party returns, they bring back spoils and news of areas ripe for plunder, the most profitable of which is chosen. The tribe then sets out en masse to carve a bloody path to its new territory.

Racial Traits

Taller and more muscular than humans

Green or grey skins

Tusks

Dark hair

Goblins

Goblins are little, selfish, evil bastards that live in caves, abandoned mines, swamps, and other dismal settings. Individually weak, goblins have strength in numbers. They crave power and regularly abuse whatever authority they obtain. Motivated by greed and self interest, goblins become ecstatic when they gain the upper hand. They dance, sing and rejoice when victory is theirs.

Racial Traits

Under 5 ft tall

Green or grey skin

Long arms and big hands

Half-Orcs

Half-orcs exhibit a combination of their genetic heritage and their appearance varies widely. Grayish skin tones and prominent teeth are the most common shared elements among this species. Orcs regard battle scars as tokens of pride and ornamental scars as things of beauty. Any half-orc who has lived among or near orcs has scars, whether they are marks of humiliation or of pride, recounting their past exploits and injuries.
